Shooting Hunger is an annual fundraising event hosted by Farm Credit Mid-America, Tennessee Farm Bureau and Tennessee Farmers Co-Op. The event brings the agricultural community together to provide hunger relief to food-insecure Tennesseans. This year, Shooting Hunger set a goal of distributing 100,000 backpack meals to families across Tennessee. Overall, nearly two million meals have been provided since 2015.
“Our purpose is to secure the future of rural communities and agriculture,” says Tim Williams, senior vice president agricultural lending, “what better way to do so than to take the industry of agriculture and pull together, feed people, and to provide what they need.”
We are committed to enriching our communities and the people we serve and we strive to do so through events like Shooting Hunger.
