Connecting to the Heart of America

Lessons learned in 4-H & FFA prepare the next generation to be leaders in the agriculture industry.

// Community News, Cooperative Stories, Customer Stories

As the sun begins to rise on any given summer day, many young people who belong to FFA and 4-H are already awake and hard at work tending to the livestock entrusted into their care. These early mornings, late nights and hot days are all part of the honest work and preparation required to showcase livestock at the upcoming county – and possibly state – fair. For many families, the tradition of raising and showing livestock is passed down from one generation to another, as are the important lessons that come with it.

Join the Springer family of Orange County, Indiana, for a behind-the-scenes look at this long-standing agricultural tradition that Farm Credit Mid-America proudly supports through our investments in 4-H and FFA.
