Dave Rennaker always knew he wanted to reconnect to his family roots in agriculture and become a farmer. Following many years of service in the Army, he and his wife, Dagmar, decided to trade city living for a life on a 70-acre cattle farm in Mammoth Cave, Kentucky.
When property beside their farm became available, a dream to share their farm and the land with others was born. When the Rennaker’s approached Farm Credit Mid-America, they found support and a shared interest in making that dream come true.
“Our first meeting, we never talked numbers. We talked about the dream,” Dave said. “And then ]our loan officer] called and said, ‘Yeah, we can do this.’”
